Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by blox.ie and the blox app. We use only essential storage for sign-in, security and your chosen settings. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

1. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small values saved by your browser and sent to the site with requests. Local storage stays in your browser and is not sent automatically with each request. The app uses local storage to remember your sign-in and display preferences. The code does not use session storage.

2. What we store

The following names are set by our code or the sign-in client it uses. Names containing a user, agency or table identifier vary for each person or view.

NameTypePurposeLifetime
blox_consent_v1Local storageRecords your cookie-settings choice and when it was madeChoice is valid for 365 days; it is then requested again. The saved value remains until replaced or browser storage is cleared

blox.activeBlock:[user id]:[agency id]Local storageRemembers your selected block for the agencyNo automatic expiry; until changed, invalidated or cleared
blox.unitsShowAll:[user id]:[agency id]Local storageRemembers whether Units & Owners shows all blocksNo automatic expiry; until changed or cleared
sb-[sign-in service identifier]-auth-tokenLocal storageHolds your sign-in session so you can stay signed in securelyNo fixed browser-storage expiry; the session contains expiry information and may refresh while authorised. Removed on sign-out or when cleared

The sign-in client can also keep a temporary companion value with a -code-verifier suffix during a sign-in exchange; it is removed after that exchange. In an embedded Lovable preview, the sign-in session is also shared with the trusted editor to keep preview sign-in consistent.

3. Security and third-party services

Our sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Its short-lived verification response is held in page memory, not saved by our app as a cookie or local-storage entry. We do not add an analytics or advertising tracker. Parts of the app load Google Fonts; a request sends Google your IP address and browser details, rather than setting a cookie through our code. See the Privacy Policy for information about service providers and personal data.

Choose Cookie settings in the footer to review the essential-storage information and save your choice. Essential storage stays on because it is needed for the site and app to work. There are no optional analytics or advertising categories to enable. Saving your choice records it for 365 days. Older choices may include an analytics preference, but no analytics script is loaded.

You can remove cookies and local storage using your browser's settings. This can sign you out and reset your saved display preferences. Blocking essential storage can prevent sign-in or stop settings being remembered.

5. Contact and changes

Questions about storage or privacy: data@blox.ie. We will update this page if the storage we use changes. See our Terms of Service and Agent Terms for the terms of using blox.
